About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7638-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed to function as a protocol translator. It features a vertical or flat installation position with galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. This model integrates an Interbus CU slave and a Modbus TCP server, equipped with 8 IP configuration switches, 10 LED indicators for fieldbus/sub-network/device status, and a baud rate jumper for speed adjustments. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability and resilience. Connection options include 2 x RJ45 connectors for 10/100Mbit/s Modbus TCP (supporting both full and half duplex), 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector and 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for Interbus connections, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and 1 x USB connector for configuration. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP20 NEMA 1 and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are INTERBUS and Modbus TCP. The AB7638-F operates efficiently within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65°C, with a current consumption of 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical). It is designed to withstand an ambient air temperature range for storage of -40 to +85°C and can operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing). The speed capabilities are 10/100Mbit/s for Modbus and 500kbit/s to 2Mbit/s for INTERBUS.
