Anybus by HMS Networks AWB2031-B is a Wireless LAN (WLAN) unit within the Wireless Bolt Ethernet PoE series designed to facilitate wireless configuration and troubleshooting of machinery. This unit allows for machine access within a 100-meter range via a laptop, tablet, or smartphone without the need for physical presence or an expensive HMI, supporting BYOD practices. It integrates a connector, communication processor, and antenna in a single unit with IP67 exterior protection. The WLAN interface supports 802.11 a/b/g/n/d standards, operates in Access Point or Client modes, covers 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, and offers a maximum link speed of 65Mbps with a net data throughput of 20Mbps. It can connect to up to 7 slaves as an access point and ensures security through various protocols including WEP, WPA, and WPA2. The Bluetooth interface supports Classic Bluetooth v2.1 with a net data throughput of around 1Mbps and the Bluetooth Low Energy interface supports version 4.0 dual-mode with a net data throughput of around 200kbps. The Ethernet interface is compatible with various protocols including IP, TCP, and UDP, and supports wireless bridging of Industrial Ethernet protocols like BACnet/IP and PROFINET. The unit features a white top and black base, requires a supply voltage of 19-36Vdc, and has dimensions of 84mm in height with a 68mm diameter. It is housed in a plastic casing made of PBT/PC, connects via an RJ45 connector or a 3-poles plug-in screw connector for power, and is designed for M50 screw/nut mounting. The AWB2031-B operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +65 °C and has a maximum power consumption of 1.7W when idle.
