Product description

Pilz PILZ-774438 is a safety relay designed for single or dual-channel operation with capabilities for safety gate monitoring, instantaneous E-STOP monitoring, and limit switch monitoring. It features DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. The relay has a net height of 87 mm and supports a rated current for safety output contacts of 4A at 24Vdc (DC-1), 6A at 240Vac (AC-1), 4A at 24Vdc (DC-13), and 5A at 230Vac (AC-15). Connection is facilitated through fixed screw terminal connections, and it belongs to the PNOZ X5 sub-range. With dimensions of W22.5mm x D121 mm and a net width of 22.5 mm, it offers a degree of protection of IP40. The supply voltage requirement is 10.2-13.2Vdc (12Vdc nominal). The housing is made of PPO with an ABS front, and it has a power consumption of 2.5 W. Its operating modes include single-channel operation without redundancy, detecting earth faults in the start and input circuit, and dual-channel operation that does not detect shorts across contacts but includes redundant input circuits. It also features automatic and manual start options, with the possibility to increase the number of available contacts by connecting contact expansion modules or external contactors/relays. The digital outputs consist of 2 x instantaneous safety outputs (2NO / 2xSPST-NO each made of 2 N.O. contacts in series; 4A 24Vdc DC-1 or 6A 240Vac AC-1 resistive load) (13-14; 23-24), and the digital inputs include 2 x digital inputs (24Vdc; 55mA) (S11-S12; S21-S22) plus 1 x start input (S33-S34).
