Pilz PILZ-779000 is a muting unit designed for dual-channel safety relay and muting functions. It features muting lamps monitoring, instantaneous E-STOP monitoring, and supports both parallel and sequential muting. This plug-in unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and has a net height of 94 mm. It is rated for safety output contacts at 8A for both 24Vdc (DC-1) and 240Vac (AC-1), and 5A for 24Vdc (DC-13) and 240Vac (AC-15). The connection type is plug-in/detachable screw terminals, with dimensions of 90mm in width, a degree of protection of IP40, and a supply voltage of 24Vdc. The housing is made of PPO with an ABS front, and it has a net width of 90 mm, a depth of 121 mm, and a power consumption of 33 W. Its operating modes include dual-channel operation with or without detection of shorts across contacts, and it features a redundant input circuit. The unit also supports monitored manual start and can be used with 2 muting sensors for parallel or sequential muting. It has 3 x instantaneous safety outputs and 1 x instantaneous auxiliary output, along with 5 x digital outputs for semiconductor devices. The protection functions include 2 operating modes, and it is equipped with 5 x digital inputs plus additional inputs for safety light grids and start/restart functions.
