About the product
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7849-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It functions as both a PROFIBUS slave and a CANopen slave. This gateway allows for vertical or flat installation and features galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides. Configuration of I/O is facilitated via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. The device includes 4 node address switches (x10 / x1), a baud rate switch, and 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status monitoring. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability. Connection interfaces include a 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, a 9-pin D-sub male connector for CANopen, a 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and a USB connector (X4) for configuration. It offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The AB7849-F supports communication protocols of CANopen and PROFIBUS, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25...+65°C for operation and -40...+85°C for storage. It has a current consumption of 400mA (24Vdc; max.) and 200mA (typical), with a speed of up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS and 10kbit/s to 1Mbit/s for CANopen slave. The device is designed to operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (RH; non-condensing).
