Banner Engineering EA5R2400XKQ is a sensor designed for edge detection with a robust aluminium housing. This sensor, part of the EZ-ARRAY series, functions as a measuring light curtain array edge/profile sensor and is specified as the receiver alone. It features a 2400mm array length and is capable of detecting objects sized between 5-10mm within a sensing distance range of 40cm to 4m. The EA5R2400XKQ offers high resolution with 480 beams and a 5mm beam spacing/pitch, ensuring precise detection. It is equipped with 2 analog outputs (0-10Vdc) and 2 digital outputs (PNP transistor; complementary NO/NC) for versatile connectivity. The sensor operates effectively in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C and is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets with an IP65 degree of protection. It also features a rectangular shape and comes pre-equipped with an 8-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy installation. The supply voltage requirement is 12Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal, and it supports the IO-Link communication protocol for efficient data exchange.
