Panasonic EX-L291-P is a photo-electric sensor made from PBT for the case and glass for the lens, designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C. It has a current consumption of 15mA / 0.015 A and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor features a detection spot size of 6mm x 4mm and is capable of detecting objects as small as 25mm with a sensing distance of up to 4m. It emits red light with a wavelength of 655 nm and includes an orange LED for operation indication and a green LED for stability indication. The response time of the sensor is 500µs / 0.0005 s, and it has one digital output (PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA). It supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes. The EX-L291-P is equipped with protection functions against outputs short-circuit and inverse polarity. It features a long sensing range, an ultra-compact laser (Class 1) with a built-in amplifier and reflector, and continuously variable sensitivity adjustment. The connection is facilitated by a pre-wired 2m 4-core 0.15mm2 cabtyre cable with bare end flying leads, incorporating 4 cores for the cable and 2 cores for the emitter in its circuit design.
