Panasonic MEDLN83SG is an AC Servo Drive designed for a wide range of automation applications. It features an IGBT PWM Sinusoidal wave drive with a built-in regenerative resistor, and an option to connect an external resistor is also available. This servo drive includes a dynamic brake and supports multiple control functions such as position control, speed control, and combined position/speed control. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0-55°C and has a rated current of 60 A. As part of the E-frame - Basic type sub-range, it accepts a three-phase input and offers various communication protocols including USB, RS232, and RS485. The operating mode is based on analog/pulse specifications, with digital outputs comprising 6 x control signal outputs, 3 x line driver pulse signal outputs, and 1 x open collector pulse signal output. Protection functions include over-voltage, under-voltage, over-speed, over-load, over-heat, over-current, and encoder error. It also features 10 x control signal inputs, 1 x Photo-coupler pulse signal input, and 1 x line receiver pulse signal input for digital inputs, with a supply voltage of 200 V. The display type is LED, indicating status, and it has 2 x analog monitor outputs for analog outputs.
