Pilz PILZ-773540 is a Safety I/O unit designed for decentralized safety block applications. It features separated output supply for higher current consumption and includes both standard and safety units. The unit offers potential isolation with basic insulation between input and internal bus voltage, as well as between SC output and internal bus voltage, both rated at a surge voltage of 500V. It is capable of short-term condensation during operation and is designed for surface mounting. The operational ambient air temperature range is -30 to +60°C, with a net height of 162 mm. It supports a rated current of 4A, with a permitted output current range of 0-0.6A and a residual current of 0.02mA at a "0" signal. The maximum external unit fuse protection is 4A. Connection is facilitated through 4 x 5-pin M12 connectors for I/O ports and 4 x 5-pin M12 male and female connectors for the interface, with a screw interlock. It boasts an IP67 degree of protection and operates on a supply voltage of 16.8-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The material used is PBT/PET top, and it has a rated voltage of 7.5Vdc minimum threshold voltage for signal change from "1" to "0" and 11.5Vdc maximum threshold voltage for signal change from "0" to "1". The maximum cable length between test pulse output and input is 20m, with a net width of 60 mm and a net depth of 30 mm. Power consumption is 1.2 W for the external power supply. It can be stored in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C. The unit includes 8 digital outputs and 8 digital inputs, with a processing time of 1 ms for input signal change from "1" to "0" and 1.2 ms from "0" to "1". The voltage drop at output is 0.2 V.
