Banner Engineering M12NRQ8 is a photo-electric sensor designed for precise detection tasks, belonging to the M12 series. This sensor operates as a receiver within a through-beam system, featuring opposed mode potentiometer adjustment for fine-tuning. It emits visible red light with a wavelength of 660 nm from a nickel-plated brass housing with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens. The M12NRQ8 is shaped as an M12 cylindrical threaded/barrel and connects via a pre-equipped 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector. It is powered by a supply voltage ranging from 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc. Designed to function in ambient air temperatures from -20 to +60 degrees Celsius, it offers a sensing distance of up to 5 meters. The sensor provides a single digital output (NPN transistor; complementary NO/NC) and features a rapid response time of 0.625ms. It is protected against harsh environments with an IP67, IP68, NEMA 5, and NEMA 6 rating, ensuring durability. The operating modes include Light-ON and Dark-ON for versatile application use.
