It features a through-beam system, also known as an opposed mode pair of individual fibers, with a 0.5mm fiber core diameter. This sensor is part of the Plastic fiber series and is equipped with a cylindrical (threaded) probe tip made of nickel-plated brass for the sensing end, while the fiber itself is encased in a polyethylene (PE) fiber sheath. The total length of the fiber is 15 feet (approximately 5 meters). It is engineered to operate effectively in ambient air temperatures up to +70°C.
