About the product
Banner Engineering QS18EK6DQ is a photo-electric sensor from the QS18 Expert series, designed with a diffuse mode TEACH mode for versatile applications. It features an M18 threaded mount for secure installation and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. The sensor is equipped with a pre-wired 6" / 150mm pigtail terminated with a 4-pin Pico-style M8 connector for easy connection. It boasts an IP67 NEMA 6 degree of protection, ensuring durability in various environments. The QS18EK6DQ operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with 12Vdc / 24Vdc nominal, and is housed in a rectangular, thermoplastic body with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens. It supports IO-Link communication protocol for enhanced connectivity and has a sensing distance of up to 800mm. The sensor emits visible red light with a wavelength of 940 nm and offers Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes. It provides quick response times of 0.6ms / 0.0006 s and includes 2 x digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor) for efficient signal processing.
