About the product

Banner Engineering SME312LP W/30 is a polarized photo-electric sensor from the SME312 Expert series, designed in a retro-reflective mode with TEACH mode functionality. It features a thermoplastic housing and an acrylic lens. This sensor is pre-wired with a 30ft / 9m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The SME312LP W/30 offers an M18 threaded mount for installation and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. It boasts a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13, ensuring durability in various environmental conditions. The sensor has a rectangular shape and includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor). It is capable of sensing distances from 10cm to 3m and emits a visible red light with a wavelength of 650 nm. The response time of the sensor is 0.5ms / 0.0005 s, and it supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
