About the product
Banner Engineering T18-2VPDS-Q8 is a photo-electric sensor from the T18-2 series, designed with a diffuse mode for short-range detection and potentiometer adjustment. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is pre-equipped with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. It operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The T18-2VPDS-Q8 can function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C and offers a high degree of protection with ratings of IP67, IP68, IP69K, and NEMA 6P, making it suitable for harsh environments. Its M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape facilitates easy installation. The sensor provides one digital output (PNP transistor; complementary), has a sensing distance of up to 300mm, and uses visible red light for detection. With a response time of 1.5ms (0.0015 s), it supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes, and it is designed with an M18 thread size for mounting.
