PULS CD5.243 is a power supply unit designed for DIN rail mounting, featuring an aluminium housing. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +70°C and has a net width of 32mm. The unit consumes 9.2A current at 12Vdc input to deliver a full 24Vdc output at 4A, with a peak inrush current of 1.3A. It boasts an efficiency of 0.877 under a 24Vdc, 4A input. The dimensions are W32mm x H124mm x D102mm. It includes a 450ms start-up delay and an 80ms rise time under nominal input with a constant full current load. The CD5.243 offers protection against output overvoltage, short circuits, and allows for series or parallel operation to increase output power or achieve 1+1 redundancy for higher system availability. It is capable of handling back-feeding loads up to 30V without malfunctioning, regardless of the power supply's operational state. The unit features reverse polarity protection, with power dissipation losses of 13.5W under a 12Vdc input and 24V output load at 4A. The output stage capacitance is 2200µF, and it has an electrical durability ranging from 33,000 to 206,000 hours depending on the operating conditions. The ripple is maintained at 50mVpp across a 20Hz to 20MHz frequency range. This PSU/DC/DC-Converter includes a 20% power reserve, is part of the CD-series, and comes with ATEX approval and galvanic isolation. Connections are made via screw-clamp connections. The supply voltage ranges from 11Vdc to 16.2Vdc, with a rated current of 4.8A at 24Vdc in temperatures up to 45°C, and lower currents as the temperature increases up to 70°C. The rated power is 116W in ambient temperatures less than 45°C and 96W for temperatures less than 60°C. The output voltage is adjustable between 23-28Vdc, with a 300mV turn-ON overshoot and a hold time of 3ms.
