It features an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape with a stainless steel housing and a polycarbonate lens. The M186EQP is pre-wired with a 6-inch (150mm) pigtail that terminates with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector. It is built to be chemical-resistant and operates within a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +70 degrees Celsius and offers a sensing distance of 20 meters.
