Banner Engineering M18TB14 is a non-contact infrared (IR) temperature switch/sensor belonging to the M18T series. It features a design incorporating a Germanium lens and TEACH mode for precise operation. The sensor has an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape with a housing made of stainless steel 304, an ABS / Polycarbonate (PC) push button housing, Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) for the push button, a Germanium lens, and Acrylic light pipes. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads for connectivity. The M18TB14 operates on a supply voltage of 12Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal, and can measure temperatures ranging from 0 to +300°C. It is designed to function in ambient air temperatures from -20 to +70°C. This sensor offers a high degree of protection with an IP67 NEMA 6 rating, ensuring its durability in various environments. It features an M18 thread size and provides digital outputs through 1 x PNP transistor and 1 x NPN transistor, with a response time of 25ms / 0.025 s for rapid temperature detection.
