About the product
Banner Engineering M18TB8 is a non-contact infrared (IR) temperature switch/sensor belonging to the M18T series. This sensor features an integrated optical lens and operates in TEACH mode. It has an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape with a housing made of stainless steel 304, an ABS / Polycarbonate (PC) push button housing, Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) push button, and an integrated lens with acrylic light pipes. The connection is facilitated by a pre-wired 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It requires a supply voltage of 12Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The M18TB8 can measure temperatures ranging from 0 to +300°C and is designed to operate in ambient air temperatures from -20 to +70°C. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6. The sensor has an M18 thread size and includes 1 x digital output (PNP transistor) and 1 x digital output (NPN transistor), with a response time of 25ms / 0.025 s.
