About the product

Banner Engineering SLE5-NIR-2M is a programmable photo-electric slot/optical fork sensor from the SLE5 series, designed for single-layer/multi-layer detection with TEACH mode. It features an aluminium housing and thermoplastic lens, and it is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. This sensor operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70 °C. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP65 and comes in a slot (U-shaped) shape with a passageway width of 50 mm, a height of 41 mm, and a depth of 64 mm. The SLE5-NIR-2M has one digital output (NPN transistor), a sensing distance of 5mm, and utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm. Its response time is 0.04ms / 0.00004 s, and it supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
