About the product

Banner Engineering SLE5-PIR-2M is a programmable photo-electric slot/optical fork sensor designed for single-layer/multi-layer detection. This sensor features a green LED to indicate power ON and an amber LED to display the output state. It operates in TEACH mode for easy setup. The sensor is housed in aluminium with thermoplastic lenses and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with 12Vdc / 24Vdc being nominal. The SLE5-PIR-2M can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C and is rated at IP65 for protection against dust and water ingress. Its slot shape has a passageway width of 50 mm and a height of 40.4 mm, with a net depth of 64 mm. The sensor offers one digital output (PNP transistor) and operates with infrared light at a wavelength of 850 nm. Its response time is remarkably fast at 0.04ms / 0.00004 s, and it supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
