About the product
Banner Engineering VS2KAN5 is a photo-electric sensor with a thermoplastic housing made of MABS material. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6, making it suitable for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +55 °C. This sensor operates in Light-ON NO (Normally Open) mode and features 1 x digital output utilizing an NPN transistor. It has a response time of 1ms (ON) and 0.5ms (OFF). The VS2KAN5 is designed with a pre-wired 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads for connection. Its rectangular shape and through-beam system / opposed mode design are optimized for a sensing distance of 3m. The sensor operates at a wavelength of 940 nm, emitting infrared (IR) light, and is powered by a supply voltage ranging from 10Vdc to 30Vdc (with 12Vdc / 24Vdc nominal). It is part of the VS2 series and functions as a photo-electric array, comprising both emitter and receiver pairs.
