About the product
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7629-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It functions as a PROFIBUS master and Modbus TCP server, facilitating communication between these two protocols. The device allows for I/O configuration via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software and supports installation in both vertical and flat positions. It features galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides to protect against electrical interference. The AB7629-F is equipped with 8 IP configuration switches and 10 LED indicators for monitoring fieldbus, sub-network, and device status. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability. Connection options include 2 RJ45 connectors for Modbus TCP communication, 1 9-pin D-sub female connector and 1 9-pin D-sub male connector for PROFIBUS, 1 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and 1 USB connector for configuration. The AB7629-F offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. It supports Modbus TCP and PROFIBUS communication protocols, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C, and consumes a maximum of 400mA current at 24Vdc. Storage temperature ranges from -40 to +85 °C. The device supports communication speeds of 10/100Mbit/s for Modbus and up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS, and can operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
