Pilz PILZ-631085 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, featuring a slim design with a cascading option that eliminates dead zones. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a protective height of 600mm. This model comes with a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, fitting into the Slim sub-range category. The device is encased in an aluminium housing with die-cast zinc alloy end caps and a PMMA front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. It requires a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal, and has a maximum power consumption of 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver. The PILZ-631085 can cover a sensing distance from 0.2m up to 6m, with a light color of infrared LED (IR) at a wavelength of 850 nm. It features 32 beams with a 24mm beam gap, ensuring a resolution suitable for detecting opaque objects as small as 24mm. The unit's dimensions are 600mm in height, 15.4mm in width, and 32.6mm in depth, with a maximum cable length of 20m. It also includes 2 digital outputs (300mA) for the receiver (OSSD outputs) and offers a response time of 9ms for cascading and 20ms. The ambient air temperature for storage is rated at -25 to +70°C.
