Pilz PILZ-631180 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection with a resolution of 14mm, capable of detecting opaque objects. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C and offers a protective height of 1200mm. This model features a slim design without a dead zone, thanks to its cascading option, and includes an emitter and receiver pair. The connection is facilitated through 5-pin M12 connectors for both the emitter and receiver. Classified under the Slim sub-range, it has dimensions of 1200mm in height, 15.4mm in width, and 32.6mm in depth, with a maximum cable length of 20m. The PILZ-631180 is encased in an aluminium housing with die-cast zinc alloy end caps and a PMMA front screen, ensuring an IP65 degree of protection. It requires a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has a power consumption of maximum 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver. The sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 6m, with infrared LED (IR) light color at a wavelength of 850 nm. It features 120 beams with a 14mm beam gap, two digital outputs (500mA) for the receiver (OSSD outputs), and response times of 17ms for cascading and 20ms. The device is suitable for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
