Pilz PILZ-6D000016 is a safety laser scanner designed for industrial automation safety applications. It features the capability to have two safety zones and one warning zone active simultaneously, with up to 10 configurable zone sets. This unit allows for the monitoring of one safety zone and two warning zones concurrently, with the ability to switch between 10 zone sets. It supports a maximum of 16 multiple evaluations and can detect a remission area ranging from 1.8 to 1000%. The scanner operates with a pulse duration of 3ns and a typical output power of 8mW. Up to four safety laser scanners can be connected in series, comprising one master and three peripherals. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +50°C and has a net height of 152mm. The design is a control master unit with a light spot diameter of 8mm on the front plate. Connection options include an 8-pin or 12-pin M12 male connector and a 4-pin M12 connector for Ethernet communication. It boasts an IP65 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The housing is made of aluminium with a PC top and a PMMA front screen. The net width and depth are 102mm and 112.5mm, respectively. Communication is facilitated via Ethernet. The sensing distance varies from 2.5m to 40m, depending on the resolution, which ranges from 30mm to 150mm. The wavelength of the laser is 905 nm, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. It features two digital outputs (OSSD semiconductor), one configurable digital output, and four digital inputs. The response time is 62ms, with a rotation time of 30ms. The resolution capabilities range from 30mm to 150mm, with an angle resolution of 0.1°. The scanner has a switch-on delay of 120s, a processing time of 300µs, and can handle a capacitive load of 2.2µF and a maximum inductive load per output of 2H. The scan area covers a maximum opening angle of 275°, and it can operate in environments with up to 95% humidity.
