Pilz PILZ-6D000031 is a safety laser scanner designed for monitoring up to three safety zones simultaneously, with the capability to manage 70 zone configurations and switch between 70 zone sets. It supports a maximum of 16 multiple evaluations and can detect a remission area ranging from 1.8 to 1000%. The device operates with a pulse duration of 3ns and a typical output power of 8mW for the laser. It is designed to function within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +50°C and features an 8mm diameter light spot on the front plate. Connection options include an 8-pin or 17-pin M12 male connector and a 4-pin M12 connector for 100Mbit/s Ethernet, ensuring versatile connectivity. The scanner boasts an IP65 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. Constructed with an aluminium housing, PC top housing, and PMMA front screen, it is designed for durability. Communication is facilitated via Ethernet protocol. The sensing distance varies from 2.5m to 40m, depending on the safety zone's resolution, with a maximum operating range deviation of 50mm from ideal flatness. Additional technical specifications include a wavelength of 905 nm, storage temperature range of -20 to +70°C, six digital outputs (OSSD semiconductor), and configurable digital inputs and outputs. The response time is noted at 62ms, with a rotation time of 30ms and a processing time for the safety output test pulse duration of 300µs. The device also features a capacitive load of 2.2µF, a maximum inductive load per output of 2H, and operates within a scan area of 275°, with an angle resolution of 0.1°, under humidity conditions of up to 95%.
