Turck BI5-G18SK-AP6X2 is an inductive proximity sensor within the BI...-G18 series, featuring a short barrel embeddable design. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a chrome-coated brass housing and a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) sensing face. It comes pre-equipped with a wiring chamber terminal block and a right-angled Pg 9 entry for connections. The shape is an M18 fully threaded barrel with a right-angle terminal chamber. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. The sensor has a maximum switching frequency of 1kHz, a response time of 8ms, and includes one digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.). The sensing distance is 5mm, and it features protection against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA, and the operating mode is normally open (NO).
