Banner Engineering IF2.56SM900 is a fiber optic sensor designed as part of the Glass fiber series, featuring a diffuse-reflective system with an individual fiber in-line sensing mechanism. It has a cylindrical (smooth) probe tip made from stainless steel, with the sensing end and a stainless steel monocoil encompassing the glass fiber. The sensor has a length of 6ft (2m) and a diameter of 4mm for the fiber core. It is designed to operate in ambient air temperatures up to +480°C.
