About the product
Banner Engineering SM2A312F is a photo-electric fiber optic sensor within the SM2A312 series, designed with a potentiometer adjustment for glass fiber. It features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. This sensor operates on a supply voltage of 24Vac-240Vac (200Vac / 220Vac nom.) and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13. The SM2A312F has a rectangular shape, one digital output (Solid-state AC output; SPST contact type), utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 880 nm, and has a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s.
