About the product
Banner Engineering SME312LV is a photo-electric sensor from the SME312 Expert series designed in a retro-reflective mode with TEACH mode functionality. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing and an acrylic lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. The SME312LV operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13. The sensor has a rectangular shape and includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor). It is capable of sensing distances up to 5m with a visible red light color, a response time of 0.5ms / 0.0005 s, and operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes. The wavelength of the light is 650 nm.
