About the product
Banner Engineering VSM-2M5APD50-Q7 is a photo-electric sensor designed with a stainless steel housing and P.B.T./Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) optics. It offers an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65 °C. This sensor operates in Light-ON mode and features a single digital output (PNP transistor / IO-Link; 100mA) with a response time of 500µs in normal mode, which can be adjusted to fine or fast mode via IO-Link. It utilizes the IO-Link communication protocol and is equipped with a 3-pin Pico-style QD M8 connector for connection. The sensor has an M5 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape, operates at a wavelength of 630 nm with visible red light, and is designed for a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.). It is a diffuse mode sensor with a sensing distance of 0 to 50mm, part of the VSM-2 series.
