About the product
Banner Engineering VSM-2M5RNR500-2M is a photo-electric sensor with a stainless steel housing, P.B.T./Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) optics, and a Polyurethane (PUR) cable. It offers an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65°C. This sensor operates in Dark-ON mode and features 1 x digital output (NPN transistor; 100mA) with a response time of 500µs / 0.0005 s. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The VSM-2M5RNR500-2M has an M5 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape, operates with a visible red light of 630 nm wavelength, and is designed for a through-beam system / opposed mode with a sensing distance of 0...500mm. It requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and is part of the VSM-2 series, functioning as a photo-electric sensor (receiver alone).
