About the product
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7508-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It features a PROFINET-IRT device and PROFIBUS slave functionality, with installation options for both vertical and flat orientations. This gateway offers galvanic isolation on both BUS and Ethernet sides and allows for I/O configuration via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. It is equipped with an Ethernet dual-port cut-through switch, 2 x node address switches (x10 / x1), and 10 x LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status monitoring. The AB7508-F operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. Its housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability. Connection interfaces include 2 x RJ45 connectors for 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet (full duplex, fixed), 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and 1 x USB connector (X4). It offers a degree of protection of IP20 NEMA 1 and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The AB7508-F supports PROFIBUS and PROFINET communication protocols, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25...+65 °C, and consumes a maximum of 400mA (24Vdc) or typically 200mA. It is designed for storage in temperatures ranging from -40...+85 °C and can operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing). The supported speed is 10/100Mbit/s for PROFINET and up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS.
