Anybus by HMS Networks AB7891-F is a gateway designed for protocol translation within the X-gateway series. It functions as an Interbus Fiber Optic slave and Modbus Plus slave, featuring vertical or flat installation positions with galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. Configuration is managed via a USB port using Anybus Configuration Manager software. The device includes 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status, a baud rate jumper, six node ID switches, and six source ID switches. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made of aluminium and plastic, with connection options including one 9-pin D-sub female connector for Modbus Plus, two fiber optic TX connectors, two fiber optic RX connectors, one 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and one USB connector. It offers an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are INTERBUS and Modbus Plus, with an ambient air temperature for operation ranging from -25 to +65°C. Current consumption is 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical) at 24Vdc, with an ambient air temperature for storage between -40 and +85°C. Speed capabilities are 500kbit/s to 2Mbit/s for INTERBUS and 1Mbit/s for Modbus Plus, and it can operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
