Product description

Panasonic SF4B-A20C is a sensor array designed for arm/foot-protection with intrinsic safety features suitable for Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 applications. It includes a light curtain sensor with an emission halt function, external device monitoring, ELCA function for reduced mutual interference, interlock with manual/auto reset, override via a 12-core cable, and a large multi-purpose indicator for muting settings. The housing is made of polycarbonate, and it comes pre-wired with a 5m 8-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable ending in bare end flying leads. This part offers IP65 protection, has a protective height of 823.4 mm, and includes 2 digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, plus 1 digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). It operates within a sensing distance of 0.3m-7m and has a current consumption of 65mA (emitter) and 75mA (receiver). The light color is infrared (IR), with a wavelength of 850 nm, and it can detect objects as small as 45mm. The response time is 80ms - 90ms for ON and 14ms for OFF, and it includes output short-circuit protection.
