Panasonic SF4D-F47-01 is a compact and robust finger-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of safety applications. It features an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability using an 8-core or 12-core cable, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The protective height of the sensor is 470 mm, and it includes two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in standard mode and 80cm to 12m in long mode, with a current consumption of 120mA for the emitter and 140mA for the receiver. The light emitted is in the infrared spectrum with a wavelength of 850 nm, capable of detecting objects as small as 14mm in diameter.
