Pilz PILZ-631122 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, featuring a slim design with a cascading option that eliminates dead zones. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C and offers a protective height of 600mm. This model includes an emitter and receiver pair, each connecting via a 5-pin M12 connector. Classified under the Slim sub-range, it has dimensions of 600mm in height, 15.4mm in width, and 32.6mm in depth, with a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 6m. The PILZ-631122 is constructed with an aluminium housing, die-cast zinc alloy end caps, and a PMMA front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has a maximum cable length of 20m. The light curtain uses infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm, has a power consumption of up to 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver, and features 32 beams with a 24mm beam gap. It also includes two digital outputs (500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and offers response times of 9ms for cascading and 20ms, with a resolution of 24mm for hand protection. The device is suitable for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
