Pilz PILZ-631142 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, featuring a slim design with a cascading option and no dead zone. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C and has a protective height of 1200mm. This model comes with a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, fitting into the Slim sub-range category. The device is encased in an aluminium housing with die-cast zinc alloy end caps and a PMMA front screen, ensuring durability. It has a net width of 15.4 mm and a depth of 32.6 mm. The PILZ-631142 operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and can accommodate a maximum cable length of 20m. Its sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 6m, utilizing infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. The light curtain consumes a maximum of 1.6 W for the emitter and 4.2 W for the receiver, featuring 64 beams with a 24mm beam gap for precise detection. It offers two digital outputs (500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and has a response time of 13ms in cascading mode and 20ms otherwise. The degree of protection is rated at IP65, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
