About the product
Banner Engineering VSM-2M5APD10-2M is a photo-electric sensor with a stainless steel housing, P.B.T./Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) optics, and a Polyurethane (PUR) cable. It offers an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65°C. This sensor operates in Light-ON mode and features a single digital output (PNP transistor / IO-Link; 100mA) with a response time of 500μs in normal mode, which can be adjusted to fine or fast mode via IO-Link. It utilizes IO-Link communication protocol and is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m PUR cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor has an M5 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape, operates with a visible red light of 630 nm wavelength, and is designed for diffuse mode with a sensing distance of 0 to 10mm. It requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and is part of the VSM-2 series.
