Banner Engineering VSM-2M5RPR500-Q3 is a photo-electric sensor designed with a stainless steel housing, P.B.T./Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) optics, and a Polyurethane (PUR) cable sheath, ensuring durability and longevity. It offers an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for operation in environments with temperatures ranging from -25 to +65°C. This sensor operates in Dark-ON mode and features a single digital output (PNP transistor / IO-Link; 100mA) with a response time that varies from 500µs in normal mode to finer adjustments accessible via IO-Link. It supports the IO-Link communication protocol for enhanced connectivity and is equipped with a pre-wired 6" / 15cm PUR cable terminated with a 3-pin Pico-style M8 connector for easy installation. The VSM-2M5RPR500-Q3 has an M5 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape, operates with a visible red light at a wavelength of 630 nm, and is designed as a through-beam system / opposed mode with a sensing distance of 0 to 500mm. It requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc (12Vdc / 24Vdc nom.) and is part of the VSM-2 series, functioning as a photo-electric sensor (receiver alone).
