About the product
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7857-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It features a DeviceNet adapter and Interbus CU slave, facilitating communication between these two protocols. The gateway is configured via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software and supports vertical or flat installation with galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. It includes 8 configuration switches, 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status, and a baud rate jumper for speed adjustments. The supply voltage requirement is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The AB7857-F measures H127mm x W44mm x D114mm and is housed in aluminium/plastic, ensuring compatibility with DIN rail mounting. Connection interfaces include a 5-pin plug-in connector for DeviceNet, a 9-pin D-sub male connector and a 9-pin D-sub female connector for Interbus, a 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and a USB connector for configuration. It offers an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C, with a storage temperature range of -40 to +85 °C. The current consumption is 400mA maximum and 200mA typical. Communication speeds are 125kbit/s, 250kbit/s, and 500kbit/s for DeviceNet, and 500kbit/s to 2Mbit/s for INTERBUS, in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
