About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7843-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It features a PROFIBUS slave design and supports installation in both vertical and flat positions. This model offers galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides and allows I/O configuration via a USB port using Anybus Configuration Manager software. It is equipped with 4 node address switches (x10 / x1) and 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status monitoring. The AB7843-F operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. Its housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability while maintaining a lightweight design. Connection options include 2 x 9-pin D-sub female connectors for PROFIBUS, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and 1 x USB connector (X4). It offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is suitable for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocol supported is PROFIBUS, with a speed of up to 12Mbit/s. The AB7843-F is designed to operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65 °C and can be stored in temperatures from -40 to +85 °C. Its current consumption is 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical) at 24Vdc. The device is also designed to withstand 5-95% relative humidity (RH; non-condensing).
