SM312FM10 Banner Proximity Sensors

Banner Engineering SM312FM10 is a photo-electric fiber optic sensor within the SM312 series, featuring a potentiometer adjustment specifically designed for glass fiber applications. This sensor is housed in a thermoplastic casing with an acrylic lens and is equipped with a pre-wired 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The SM312FM10 offers versatile mounting options with an M18 threaded mount and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. It boasts a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards, including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12. The sensor's shape is rectangular, and it provides a single digital output (PNP/NPN transistor). It emits infrared light with a wavelength of 880 nm and features a rapid response time of 1ms / 0.001 s. The operating modes include Light-ON and Dark-ON, allowing for flexible application use.
