Banner Engineering QCM50-K3D40-Q8-5 is a high-performance color sensor within the QCM50 series, designed for precise color detection with a small spot size of 4x4mm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +55 °C and features a TEACH mode capable of distinguishing up to 7 colors. This sensor is equipped with a 5-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity and is housed in a die-cast Zinc with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens, ensuring durability. It offers a sensing distance of 18 to 60mm and utilizes visible white light for color detection. The QCM50-K3D40-Q8-5 supports both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) operating modes and includes 3 digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor) for versatile application. It operates on a supply voltage of 18Vdc to 30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The sensor is designed for robust industrial applications with an IP67 and IP69K degree of protection against ingress, and it features a matte chrome-plated coating for additional resilience. Communication with this sensor is facilitated through the IO-Link protocol, allowing for easy integration into existing systems.
