About the product

Banner Engineering SM312LVMHS-50248 is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series designed in a retro-reflective mode with potentiometer adjustment. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 5Vdc-15Vdc, with a nominal 12Vdc, and is mounted using an M18 threaded mount. The sensor can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. It has a rectangular shape and includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor). The sensing distance is up to 5m, with a visible red light color, a response time of 0.3ms / 0.0003 s, and operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes. The wavelength of the light is 650 nm.
