About the product
Banner Engineering SGSMA4-400Q12 is a safety light curtain designed for perimeter access guarding with a protective height of 1200mm. It features an integrated muting function and operates as an active unit with both transmitter and receiver on one side. The housing is made of aluminum, with a polycarbonate (PMMA) lens and thermoplastic end caps. It is pre-equipped with both 5-pin and 12-pin Euro-style M12 connectors for connectivity. The unit is yellow, operates on a 24Vdc supply voltage, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. It is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water jets. The dimensions are 52mm in width, 1307mm in height, and 57mm in depth. The light curtain features 4 beams with a 400mm beam spacing, two digital outputs (24Vdc; 500mA; sourcing; redundant OSSD solid-state outputs), and a sensing distance ranging from 50cm to 8m. The response time is 12ms, and it emits infrared light with a wavelength of 950 nm.
