About the product
Banner Engineering SGSSA2-500Q8 is a safety light curtain from the SGS series designed for short-range applications. This active unit combines transmission and reception on one side and is housed in aluminum with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens and thermoplastic end caps. It features a pre-equipped 8-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. The device offers a protective height of 500mm and comes in a yellow housing. It operates on a 24Vdc supply voltage and can function within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. With an IP65 degree of protection, it measures 52mm in width, 607mm in height, and 57mm in depth. The SGSSA2-500Q8 is equipped with 2 beams spaced 500mm apart, 2 digital outputs (24Vdc; 500mA; sourcing; redundant OSSD solid-state outputs), and has a sensing distance ranging from 50cm to 8m. It utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 950 nm and has a response time of 11ms. The resolution is set for 500mm, suitable for perimeter access guarding.
