About the product
Banner Engineering SGSSA3-400Q8 is a safety light curtain from the SGS series designed for short-range applications. This active unit combines transmission and reception on one side and is housed in aluminum with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens and thermoplastic end caps. It features a pre-equipped 8-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. The device offers a protective height of 800mm, comes in a yellow housing, and operates on a 24Vdc supply voltage. It is designed to function within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and boasts an IP65 degree of protection. The SGSSA3-400Q8 measures 52mm in width, 907mm in height, and 57mm in depth. It is equipped with 3 beams at a 400mm beam spacing/pitch, 2 x digital outputs (24Vdc; 500mA; sourcing; redundant OSSD solid-state outputs), and has a sensing distance ranging from 50cm to 8m. The light curtain emits infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 950 nm, has a response time of 12ms / 0.012 s, and is specifically designed for perimeter access guarding with a resolution of 400mm.
