About the product
Banner Engineering SGSSA4-400Q8 is a safety light curtain from the SGS series designed for short-range applications. This active unit combines transmission and reception on one side and is housed in aluminum with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) lens and thermoplastic end caps. It features a pre-equipped 8-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. The unit has a protective height of 1200mm and comes in a yellow housing. It operates on a 24Vdc supply voltage and can function within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. With an IP65 degree of protection, it measures 52mm in width, 1307mm in height, and 57mm in depth. The SGSSA4-400Q8 is equipped with 4 beams at a 400mm beam spacing/pitch, 2 x digital outputs (24Vdc; 500mA; sourcing; redundant OSSD solid-state outputs), and has a sensing distance of 50cm to 8m. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a response time of 12ms / 0.012 s and a wavelength of 950 nm, designed specifically for perimeter access guarding with a resolution of 400mm.
